MAYNILAD
Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) is the exclusive provider of water and wastewater services in the West Zone of Metropolitan Manila. It is an agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).
Since 2009, our group has been actively participating with their projects. Our first project with Maynilad was the Baesa WRF which was completed in 2012. Other related projects were Samson STP and Tandang Sora STP.
MAYNILAD - SAMSON STP
The plant is designed to treat municipal water with an average flow of 1,800 cubic meter per day with a peak factor of 1.8. The duration of the peak flow is limited to 3 hours.
The treatment process is 'EXTENDED AERATION' modification of the well-known activated sludge process. There are thousands of these plants of similar design, but with conventional aeration by air blowers, operating all over the world. Factors contributing to its ready acceptance include:

Ability to handle peak and shock loads.

Simplification of operation with a minimum manual operational control.

Production of the least amount of waste activated sludge.

There are three basic components in any extended aeration system, an aeration tank, a clarification tank and disinfection tank. In addition to these three basic components your treatment plant is equipped with an aerobic sludge digester and headworks.
MAYNILAD - TANDANG SORA STP
The plant is designed for an average flow of 1,200 cubic meter per day with a peak factor of 1.8. The duration of the peak flow is limited to 3 hours.
The continuous flow system STP installed in the Tandang Sora STP utilizes the STM-AEROTOR™ system for the aeration of the aeration tank.
The continuous flow system with STM-AEROTOR™ aeration works like any other conventional continuous flow system with the only difference, that the aeration in the aeration tank is not accomplished by air blowers, but by using the STM-AEROTOR™ wheel. This reduces not only electric power consumption, but also decreases the footprint of the plant. The system combines the activated sludge with the fixed film method.
MAYNILAD - LA MESA TREATMENT PLANT 2
One of the four world class water treatment plants that Maynilad maintains and operates is the La Mesa Treatment Plant 2. It has a design capacity of 1,200 MLD. We did the design, manufacturing, supply and supervision of the installation of the sludge suckers. This technology was specified by their Owner’s Engineer and we are one of the very few who can supply such technology.
MARRIOTT HOTEL
Marriott Hotel is one of the premiere 5-star hotels in the country located at Newport City, Pasay. They serve and accommodate thousands of guests everyday. In order to keep up with the environmental standards set by the DENR, they have awarded us to design and build a STP for their hotels.
One of the biggest challenges in designing the STP is the constraint in space. The area allocated for the STP is a small room found at the 3rd level basement making it hard to do the installation.
Marriott Hotel STP is designed for an average flow of 900 cubic meters per day with a peak factor of 1.8. The duration of the peak flow is limited to 3 hours. Due to the constraint in space, we decided to install a STM-AEROTOR™ system. This reduces not only the footprint of the plant, but also decreases the electric power consumption. Furthermore, noise levels are also at a minimal due to the absence of conventional air blowers.
MEGAWORLD CORPORATION
Megaworld Corporation is one of the leading developers in the country. They aim to provide quality residences in close proximity to office and commercial facilities. One of their most well-known development is the Eastwood City.
Eastwood City STP, located in Libis, Quezon City, is designed to clean an average flow of 3,300 cubic meters per day. The technology used for this application is the STM-AEROTOR™ and ZICKERT Shark™. We opted to use the ZICKERT Shark™ over the conventional clarifier due to the geometry of the plant. It was the perfect technology for a long & narrow area.
